Although 5G seems something of the future, the reality is that it is already available in the US some cities and in European regions. This is joined by manufacturers such as Xiaomi who have decided to bet strongly on a better transition by offering 5G smartphones without giving up prices available to virtually any pocket.
This has been reported by Lei Jun, current CEO as well as the founder of Xiaomi, who in a recent interview has ensured that all his smartphones launched in 2020 and at least 20k INR in cost will support 5G.
Undoubtedly a new strategy that will facilitate the transition from 4G, allowing us for relatively little to take advantage of all the advantages offered by this type of ultra-fast connection. Also, if we take into account the words of Lei Jun, this strategy would encompass all of the firm’s mid-high and high-end smartphones.
The next Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, the Mi 10 or even the rumored Redmi K30 and its global version Mi 10T could be some of the next Xiaomi smartphones that would have 5G according to the CEO’s statements and taking into account the possible cost of these.
In addition, Lei Jun has announced that next 2020 will give more relevance to eSIM in China. A technology that today we practically do not have in almost any smartphone the most sold ranges of Xiaomi but that could gradually reach even its mid-range.
