The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 It has not yet been officially launched in the global market, although its arrival is expected this July. But it could have a dangerous rival that would come from the manufacturer of this wearable that has already certified its Amazfit Band 5.
Huami, the Chinese company that has been in charge of creating the Mi Band series since its inception, has certified with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) its new wearable, the Amazfit Band 5, which has also shown some of the characteristics that place it at the level of its rival Xiaomi.
Among the characteristics, we will find an AMOLED display, numerous sport modes, continuous heart rate detection, resistance to depths up to 50 meters, and the possibility of connecting to the GPS of our smartphone to track our routes.
The Amazfit Band 5, will incorporate a battery with a 125 mAh capacity, exactly like the Xiaomi Mi Band 5, so possibly their autonomy is also the same as around 15 days. Therefore, the differences could be limited only to some software functions as well as their physical appearance. As far as the technical data sheet is concerned there seems to be no difference between the two quantifying bracelets.
There are still no indications regarding the presentation date of this new wearable by Amazfit, but the certification issued by the FCC suggests that it could be put on sale sooner than we directly expect in the global market.
